Actively Seek Healing
John 5:8 | Then Jesus said to him, Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.
"Do you want to get well?" That is the question that Jesus asked the paralyzed man in John chapter 5, and that is the question we must ask ourselves. It can be hard to ask for help, especially when we are struggling emotionally or mentally. But admitting that we aren't well but want to be better is the first step to healing. If we want to get better, we must take responsibility for our healing. We must "Get up! Pick up [our] mat and walk" out the steps Jesus says are necessary to achieve that healing.
Prayer: Lord, help me! I am not okay. I am hurting spiritually, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Father, I want to get well. Give me the strength and guidance necessary to pick up my mat and walk out my healing. You are my Jehovah Rapha, and I know it is possible with You. Amen.
